This article discusses NMSC’s changes to its “Four Point Approach” to downtown revitalization.  After 35 years of promoting this formula in towns and urban centers across the country, the national leaders of this popular grass-roots movement are now revising the approach.  The new focus call for creating new “Community Transformation Strategies” in town centers, placing a greater emphasis on economic vitality and less on promotion and design.
